Just one hour from the hustle and bustle at Mile Marker 91.7, tucked back off the main road and close to the Intracoastal, sits twenty acres of hidden waterfront tranquility called Mangrove Marina. Protected by the hearty mangrove trees surrounding the marina, this basin is a natural “hurricane hole”.

Even though it’s the largest full service marina in the upper keys, it is not your ordinary marina. We offer all the amenities a boater would expect like wet slips, dry racks, boat ramp, fuel facilities, bathhouse, mechanic racks, working yard, restaurant, and a freshwater swimming pool. Above all, we go a step further to give you a little bit of paradise.

On-Site Services

Mangrove Marina offers yard storage and full service for sailboats and powerboats up to 60 feet. With a 50-ton travel lift and 26k lbs forklift, we can haul, wash, block, and support your vessel with power and water at each workstation. Bottom painting is available, and approved outside contractors are welcome.

Yard Storage

Our service staff provides haul-out, power wash, bottom paint, zinc changes, transport loading/unloading, and survey inspections. Additional services include metal work, engine and electronics repairs, fiberglass, detailing, canvas work, marine systems, crane service, salvage, Coast Guard inspections, and more.

Boat Painting Services

We offer competitive rates for boat painting and repairs. Services include fiberglass and prop repairs, detailing, surveys, engine and generator work, canvas and railing repairs, T-Tops, towers, diesel engine support, and in-water services.

A nice and unique experience, definitely worth trying, especially if you plan on sleeping on a boat. This is the first place to try because it offers a nice mix of house and boat. The interior feels just like. atiny house or a small hotel suite.

It was just something different to spend the night on a houseboat! In the morning it was nice to have breakfast on the aft deck and in the evening to enjoy the beer.

Perfect little houseboat! If you're looking for a unique place to stay in the keys then don't hesitate to book The Dolphin. It's clean, has all the essentials, and is close to some great snorkeling, diving, kayaking, fishing, and restaurants! We loved spending time on the top deck of the houseboat and even had a manatee visit us one afternoon!

Loved it here!! The houseboat was clean, with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, dishes). A/C was already going! The towels were brand new and the view was exactly what we were looking for. Walking distance to the Blonde Giraffe Key Lime Factory, and a short drive to the Winn-Dixie. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

I brought my granddaughter on this trip for her spring break. The houseboat was such a nice and unique place to stay and she loved it. The location is perfect for all of the things that you might want to do in the Keys but at the same time quiet and peaceful on the water. The boat was very clean and well stocked.

Have you ever wanted to stay on a floating house? This is the perfect opportunity to try it! This little house had everything that my husband and I needed to enjoy our day trips to the other Keys. We did enjoy sitting on the patios in the early mornings to enjoy the wonderful views.

We really enjoyed our stay on the Grey Lady. Location, location, location! The houseboat is the last one on the slip and faces out into the mangrove marina, with lovely views. It’s also very spacious inside. Upstairs is an open LR -DR area with access to the outdoor seating area. Below are the four bedrooms and two baths.

I was so nervous about staying on a houseboat. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. We were all so pleasantly surprised with everything about it! The houseboat itself was fabulous. It was pristine! Cleaner than any of the hotels I’ve stayed in down here that were supposed to be 4 and 5 stars.

We hadn't been to the Keys in years and decided to try something different by staying on a houseboat for our 5 night vacay instead of a big building hotel. We're so glad we did! We chose the Grey Lady because we needed the room for 5 adults (2 couples, one single). We had the BEST time!

We loved our stay at Mangrove Marina. Our houseboat was clean and well - equipped. This was our first visit to Key Largo, and we thought the location was central to where we wanted to eat and visit. Everyone at the marina was super friendly, which added to the enjoyment.

Just three adult males looking to do some fishing and diving for 4 days in the keys. Found this place, it was perfect for our needs. The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather but that's certainly wasn't the houseboat's fault. Already planning another trip during better weather.!

New houseboat experience for us. We weren’t sure what to expect for our houseboat stay as this was new to us. First, the staff is fantastic, friendly, so helpful with anything needed. Staff gets 5 stars! Second, the houseboat location was fine but the unit itself could use some updating and TLC.

I reluctantly agreed to try out the houseboat experience at my husband's urging and I am so happy I did. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the deck right on the water. I have to say that Michael was an amazing manager. He was very responsive to all our requests and spent a lot of time showing us the different houseboats.

Check-in was easy. Mike at the resort showed us our houseboat. He asked if it was okay or if we wanted another available houseboat. (We stayed with the one we picked, Captain's Quarters.) The houseboat was well stocked with any items we could have needed. This was so very relaxing.

Perfect for discovering the Keys Islands in a different and extraordinary accommodation. Luckily there was air conditioning because it was hot. Having your coffee in the morning on the water is a sensational experience. Bravo also for the pool which allowed us to have a good time as a family.

Enjoyed our stay at this unique property. Mike quickly accommodated our late check-in request and made the process seamless. The house has a smart layout that makes it feel larger than it is. The four of us (2 adults, 1 man-sized teenager, 1 pre-teen) fit easily and had no complaints. It was blazing hot in Florida but the two A/C units in the house kept it nice and cool. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, the beds were comfortable, and it was awesome staying right on the water. We'd happily book again.

We loved our short stay! Our biggest complaint is that we didn’t book it longer. The space was clean, it even smelled good! the property manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The Marina sunset was amazing. we enjoyed the pool, and our kids were so excited to see a manatee! 11 out of 10!!! Cant say enough.

Really enjoyed the couple of nights we had here. Perfect for a short break. Added bonus of seeing the dolphin swim literally 2 feet away was magical.

Really cool staying in a house boat. We spent the week scuba diving and nights on the house boat. Was clean and tidy, we slept great. Onsite restaurant and bar was under construction. Did not use the pool. Overall it was a great experience.

We stayed on the Manatee and it was perfect for our group. Plenty of space to sprawl out, full sized shower was a plus! Top of the boat was awesome for unwinding after a full day of activities and watching the sun set. The pool area was great!

We had such a wonderful on the houseboat. It was very clean and has all cooking utensils. Close location to Winn Dixie for grocery shopping. There was lots of fish and jelly fish we can see off the deck.

Really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for our family of 5, kids were 13, 10 and 8. The view from the top deck was beautiful and relaxing.

Renting a houseboat was a big stretch for us but the pictures looked beautiful and I love the water so we thought we would take the “plunge”. It was so cozy and welcoming. We couldn’t be more excited when we say dolphins swim by our boat and the last day we saw 4 manatees! That really made the stay perfect.

The owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our houseboat was beautiful, spacious, incredibly clean and well appointed. We could not have asked for a better experience. On top of everything else, there is a lovely heated pool, and a great (and reasonably priced) tex mex BBQ restaurant right on the property as well.

This is the first time we have used a house boat, but will not be the last.

We enjoyed a 4-day getaway that was perfectly relaxing. First time on a houseboat. The first night and part of next day were rainy, there was gentle, soothing motion good for sleeping. Kitchen had basics and coffee for the coffee pot. Mike and staff were helpful with check-in and responsive when we had requests.

Mike was so friendly and helpful. The office staff was also fantastic! I could live forever in the Captains Quarters. Loved it!!!!

We were trying to find something different than a hotel/in and came across the houseboats. Checking was easy, the place was clean. A relaxing stay while being close to everything key largo, tavernier, and Islamorada have to offer. As a plus, we saw dolphins and jellyfish floating around in the mornings.

Our houseboat was even better than we expected. It was such a unique lodging experience for our weekend in the Keys. My teens said it was one of the highlights of the trip. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

We brought our girls down for a trip of a lifetime to stay in a houseboat and swim with the dolphins. This location is great for kids and families of big kids or teens. They loved the pool and we loved the covered picnic tables, beach ambiance and vibe.

Very relaxing place to stay, it was probably the best nights sleep I've had in a long time especially being on the water!! The surroundings are so beautifully and very relaxing, definitely be back again one day.

The "Captain's Quarters" was fabulous! The water pressure in the shower was great and the toilet worked wonderfully. The back deck was very peaceful and private. There was also a Bar, food truck, and live music right at the marina. The pool area is extremely clean with comfy lounge chairs. There are also private showers and a changing area.

We had a wonderful stay at the "Yellow Tail." We and the kids were delighted to spend our stay on the water and to have our breakfasts with a view of the Mangrove! The accommodation is very comfortable and very clean. The instructions were very clear when entering the marina.

This houseboat was just what we were looking for in the keys. Room for two of us, very clean and the staff was helpful. We spent lots of time on the “porch” in the mornings and evenings.

It was fun staying on a houseboat as a group. The management took great care of us and let us park the motorcycles up nice and close to the dock. They recommended a charter boat for fishing out of Key Largo that we thoroughly enjoyed, they also supplied little random things when we needed them. We would definitely go back!

Mike was an amazing host, he was quite friendly and responsive. The place was also nice, there's a wonderful view of the marina. There was also a Barbecue site which was great. The pool was super clean and enjoyable. We also got to enjoy live music and drinks. We will definitely come back again.

We absolutely loved everything about this place! From the time we checked in, to the time we checked out. Mike the Manager, and Paul the Bartender were very friendly and helpful. We came down for my 40th birthday and it was definitely one to be remembered! We stayed on the "Starfish" house boat and it was perfect for us!

Great way to stay in the Keys! We chose this over a cheap motel for four people and it was a great choice. Parking is available. It's a unique accommodation and really peaceful. Despite the heavy winds, the boat didn't sway much. It was almost like you weren't on the water at all! The view from the balcony was super relaxing. I would definitely recommend!

Forget a water view, this place is IN the water! We got the space and amenities of a suite at the price of a room. We also got to try the "Tiny House" living without any commitment.

This is our first ever houseboat stay! We loved the concept of trying out new and unique places. The online description was 100% accurate. Parking was easy. (We were there during their off season.) We enjoyed sitting out on their patio chairs while enjoying the view. The bed was comfy, and there were plenty of towels for the hot showers!

This was such a great surprise! I was absolutely shocked that the "houseboat" was literally a house on the water. Plus, there was a great marina, wonderful staff, a Taco Truck, and a little bar. It was just perfect, can’t wait to come back!

This was the perfect spot to hangout in the Keys! Our family of four (and their two friends) were very happy with this rental. The location is great. It's right on the end of the harbor with the most magnificent sunsets off the back deck! There is also a perfect little restaurant/bar in the harbor that we went to quite often for drinks and tacos.

Our stay was great! It was chilly the first night, but thankfully there was a small heater on the boat we were able to use. Mike and Ace were great upon arrival. They were there for anything that we needed! Would definitely recommend staying here again. We will be back! It was our first trip to the Keys and we loved staying on a houseboat.

The houseboats have so much to them. Our grandchildren loved the roof top decks, as well as the lofts. The houseboats are extremely clean and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

We've been wanting to stay on a houseboat for years and finally did it! This was really great. Location was perfectly centered for all of our planned activities and some very good restaurants. It was comfortable and had very nice views, specially from the upper deck. You must remember it is a houseboat and not a Ritz.

Host was great. The original boat we were to stay in had a couple issues, and our host arranged another exact boat prior to us arriving and allowed us to choose which boat we would prefer. Absolutely beautiful views, especially sunset from the rooftop deck.

Spent several days in the Keys w/my wife last week to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had wanted to do something "different" so we opted to rent a housboat. The facility itself was clean & you are close to a cornacopia of fun upper key dining/excursion options. 5 easy stars, highly recommend!

Hidden Gem!!! Why stay at a basic resort, condo, or hotel when you can live like a local! This is now our 2nd time staying on a houseboat in the Keys and it's our preferred type of rental. We stayed at Mangrove Marina for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I happened to find houseboat accommodations by accident and I'm glad I did. The houseboat was great and the views were awesome. The Marina is super cozy with a great pool and areas to cook and eat. We loved watching the distant lightning show from the deck of our houseboat.

Wow what a gem!! Could not have had a nicer stay. The sunset from our porch was the best we’ve seen on our trip. Be sure to check out Bobz Bunz for an outstanding breakfast and Islander Girl for amazing snorkeling. We also LOVED the diving museum. Thanks for a great stay, Mangrove Marina!

Our stay on the Calypso was AWESOME! Mike greeted us with great energy, and helped our kiddos feel comfortable and involved in the process. We'd never stayed on a houseboat before, so I was a little nervous about what to expect. However, in a few minutes during check-in, we were all super comfortable.

It's an adventure - being directly on the water in a comfortable setting. Great for families at a fraction of the cost of having to have two hotel rooms. Mike is very responsive and took care of our needs while we were there.

We had a great time on the boat. It was our first experience on a boat but enjoyed it a lot. Great location with lots of great restaurants and points of interest around.

What a great place to stay very relaxing. I was able to tie my boat to the end of the houseboat that we stayed in so in the morning we were able to jump in the boat and go fishing. Management was great and Mike was super cool. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful sunset views right from your own private decks on the water. There’s a rooftop deck that’s very cool as well as the deck off the living room. We enjoyed mornings there drinking our coffee taking in the views and cool morning breezes and the sunsets were just sensational. Very cool experience staying on the water. Fun being rocked to sleep at night. Mike was very communicative and helpful. Basic kitchen supplies. Don’t expect to cook big meals here but that was fine for our family as we enjoyed some great restaurants nearby.

Brilliant stay here. We loved the houseboat. Very comfortable and spacious. The sundeck was an amazing place to sunbathe and sunset watch. We spotted 2 manatee and dolphins!

Great property. Remember it’s a boat- so nothing fancy! Clean and comfortable!! Note that you will have to step down from the dock onto the boat but the stairs are super easy and the step is not too big at all. Mike was great- friendly and informative!

This was a fun experience in a small, quiet house boat marina. The place was cozy, clean, and well-maintained. There was a nice, small pool available for use and the upper deck was nice. We saw a small shark off the deck one night. It’s on the bay side, but still had a very nice view near the end of the pier. There is a little bar open in the evenings. No food was served at the marina, but there are good options nearby, including the lovely Marker 88.

It’s a great houseboat. Very modern and clean. Being on the water brought a sense of peace that you cannot get in a hotel room. The upper and lower deck was a plus. Our daughter and her friend, age 25, slept in the loft. The mattresses up there are probably more suited for children, but they did ok for three nights. We had a ball dancing to the band on Wednesday night. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating. We made some awesome memories on this adventure in the Florida Keys. Thank you.

My whole family fell in love with the boat life experience:) Perfect size for family of 4 (15 and 13 year old kids) Was fun to meet new people who were also there on vacation and just hang around marina but also close enough to activities to make little day trips. Will be back!

We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay on the Dolphin houseboat. It was clean and comfortable. The property manager was easy going and helpful. My 7 year old granddaughter enjoyed watching the fish, birds, and sharks off the back deck of the boat. We had to leave to go home and she kept asking us why we can’t go back for another night!

Stayed with a friend and our 2 teenagers and found the houseboat to be a fun home-base. It was clean and comfortable (incl comfortable beds!), with amazing views all day long from the upper deck. Cooking was somewhat limited due to the 2 burner stove top and small pots, but we figured it out. Overall, recommend this as a wonderful and interesting place to stay!

We really enjoyed our time on the Manatee. Tavernier is a great location – close to parks, beaches, restaurants, shopping. And so great to come back and relax on the deck surrounded by water and fresh breezes! The marina has a pool which was nice when we just felt like a quick dip. We had a manatee slowly swim by one day! In general, a clean friendly place to call home while you explore the Keys. Just one caveat- if you have motion sickness – the houseboat does move quite a lot when it gets really windy. I knew this was a possibility when I booked it, so it’s on me, not the boat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The marina was great, good hospitality, and a great location.

The property is in a great location and the roof sun deck was amazing.

We had to arrive after hours due to our flight & the staff had our late check-in envelope in the box. Our houseboat was clean, and we enjoyed sleeping with the ocean gently rocking us to sleep. There were coffee packets with the coffee maker to get us started in the mornings. Although we ate out most meals, there was a well equipped kitchen, and enough towels. The staff helped us print out some paperwork we needed, and checking out was easy. Not a fancy place, but gorgeous views, and located close to everything you will want to see in the Keys!!!

The marina was easy to find and safe. We felt relaxed as soon as we unlocked the door after a long night of traveling. Michael was super informative then left us alone to rest. Exactly what we needed. Lots of water sports and restaurants close by for those looking for adventure.

The people were great…friendly and always helpful. Mike was extremely helpful and always willing to talk (Including Ace!). A real review. Our boat could use some TLC. Overall it was great, but starting to show usage…I’m not picky. I have stayed at many locations like this and kind of expected there would be some basics…spices, coffee filters…usually there are a few things helpful that are left over from previous travelers…there were none in this case. We left a lot of basics and hopefully they remain for the next group. Otherwise we liked the stay and look forward to next year.

It was my inlaw’s first time saltwater fishing and they had never been out on the water around the keys. They were completely blown away by it. The house boat made it so much better. The easy access and the top deck was amazing! It was fun looking at all the other boats. The band on Wednesday night was epic!

We loved this house boat. Very charming. The view off the deck was beautiful. Everything was in order and clean/new. The staff was helpful. This was a perfect long weekend getaway for fishing, dining and relaxation.

The houseboat experience was a really unique getaway. We felt the “keys” vibe and enjoyed watching boats come in and out of the marina, looking for manatees and nurse sharks, and watching the sunset on the water. Great communication and very clean place. Will come back!

We stayed on a small houseboat. It was a great place to sleep for just the two of us. If you are more than a couple this probably is not the boat for you, but they do have larger, more luxurious ones to choose from. The people that work there are all friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The scenery is beautiful too. We are planning another stay here later this year with a group of friends.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. VERY clean property with beautiful views and many ways to enjoy them. Slept soundly with the fresh air and the quiet sounds of the water. Excellent property – beautiful pool.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days as a short getaway. Fun, easy check-in, novel idea for vacation Incomparable experience, would highly recommend over any hotel; nothing like waking up and seeing the ocean just inches from your backdoor! Houseboat was sparkling clean and had all of the simple amenities one could need. Would definitely return.

My husband and I had an amazing time staying in the Sand Dollar for the first leg of our honeymoon trip to The Keys. It was such a unique experience and we already can’t wait to come back. It was very relaxing and the perfect location nestled between Key Largo and Islamorada. We loved that we could walk across the street for coffee and restaurants and things to do were only 10-15 minutes away in each direction. Everyone we interacted with at the marina – staff, other houseboat guests, and residents – were very friendly! Don’t pass up this fun experience.

We booked the houseboat at the last minute, and are so glad we did. What a unique way to experience the Keys! Our two kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was well appointed and bigger inside than I expected it to be. Would definitely stay here again.

The marina houseboat was just perfect for us! Mike was amazing- knowledgeable about area, check in process short & sweet. Plenty of parking. There is a covered front & back deck to enjoy. Some shade on the upper deck would be great to enjoy the views for longer periods of time. This sounds like something that is being looked into already. Only Small downside was the king size bed. It is up stairs & only one way out, had to crawl over my hubby at night to get out. (There are 3 other beds I could have slept in

) Restaurants close by. Great little bar area that served wine/beer/seltzers. Mandy was the island women running it. She’s amazing !!! Great pool area with shade. Overall a fabulous stay. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I had an amazing time during our houseboat stay. The boat was super clean and had every amenity you would need. The views of the sunset off the back of the boat were incredible and we enjoyed watching the stars from the upper deck as well. There is a beach bar on the property where we had happy hour and we also had some excellent food at a nearby restaurant. I can’t recommend a stay here highly enough.

This place was awesome. The views were beautiful, saw manatees, lots of fish, and sharks right from our deck drinking coffee each morning. Kids loved it! It was the perfect quiet base to stay and do things in Key Largo. Highly recommend.

The Gray Lady and the Mangrove Marina were fantastic! Mike was awesome and responsive, he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend them for a great vacation! The pictures don’t do the Gray Lady justice, she’s the perfect retreat.

The boat was clean and had everything we needed. The property manager Mike was spot on, and dealt with any request very quickly. The community at the marina was extremely friendly and we ended up making some life long friends during our stay. I can’t say enough about Mangrove Marina and the people that live there. It was also nice that there was a little bar on site and Mandy the bartender was very welcoming and made us feel like family. The whole experience was wonderful and we will for sure be returning to visit all our new found friends in the near future! Thanks again to Mike and the marina crew, you guys are top notch!

I stayed here with my spouse and parents and we had such a great time! Everything was well taken care of and the motion of the water was lovely! I ended up sleeping in one of the beds in the loft and was very comfortable. The first night we arrived it was rainy and I was worried it would feel cramp inside with 4 adults but it was great! Would definitely stay again!

Property manager was very efficient and informative and friendly. We arrived a few minutes after 5 and he was kind enough to stay late to check us in and escort us to the house boat and show us around. The top deck and back deck were so enjoyable. We were able to see several types of fish, a couple of sharks, and three very large manatees.. So fun.

We loved our stay on Captains Quarters! The view from the house boat was beautiful and we even woke up to a rainbow on the first day. Mike was so friendly and helpful. Also, the bar area at the marina was cute and fun. We loved meeting locals and others staying on the boats at the marina bar.

This was our first houseboat experience and we really enjoyed it. We were on the Starfish. Sitting on the rear deck watching the storms, sunsets and stars were nice end of day rituals for us. The accommodations were absolutely fine. The layout of the boat was perfect and worked well for us. It was nice being on the water without the need for dramamine. Mike, the property manager was exceptional. He was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel welcome right from the start.

BEAUTIFUL!! We needed a relaxing small get away and wow this house boat delivered! We had such a relaxing beautiful time. We loved sitting on the little deck off the back of the house boat enjoying the peace around us. It’s very quiet, and the added beautiful scenery of the open water all around makes it perfect. Looking for a unique getaway then look no further. The Captain’s Quarters was an excellent weekend adventure with gorgeous views. We even saw a manatee and her pup from the deck. Loved all the woodwork of the upstairs. The upstairs was great and you didn’t even know you were on an actual boat.

Quiet location but in the middle of everything. Plenty of marine life in the marina…dolphins, manatees, fish and jellyfish, all kinds of things!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin Boat House! The marina and other facilities like the pool and a small outdoor dining area were nice too. The house was very clean and neat. The beds were comfortable! It is located at the end of the row and has the most Beautiful views of the water! The staff was very helpful and attentive! We were able to get in and out of our boat and into the house. We also rented a separate boat sleep for our boat. I will definitely recommend this place! We had a very good experience staying there!

What a great stay we had for 7 nights. Place was very cold when we got there. Which we both love. Place was very clean and Mike helped us with anything we needed. Pool was amazing. The bar was fun wish it was opened every night but we talked to the owner who is hoping to open it every day at some point.

It is a house boat. Staying in the Keys how it is intended, slow and beautiful! Morning sunrises were beautiful. There was a tiki bar with entertainment! It is a different experience than staying in a hotel. It is a must try! Great time!

Staying on a boat house was a first for us. We enjoyed it. The upper deck was great in the evenings to relax and see sunset or storm clouds rolling in. The beds were very comfortable. Over all, this was a great place and awesome experience. Would come back again.

We had so much fun on our house boat. We are already planning another trip! Mangrove Marina is our favorite place in the Keys!

I can not say enough positive things. I am a bit of a speed demon and getting somewhere fast is not the easy way of coastal life, as long as you keep that in check, you will leave relaxed, renewed, refreshed. I didn’t use any of the facilities on the premises cause when we were not at the boathouse we were out. Im sure its great from what we saw. It is a beautiful unique experience and bucket list worthy.

What an awesome vacation. Never stayed on a house boat, don’t think I’ll ever stay in a hotel again. This place is great. The grey lady was incredible. Big and spacious, clean and nicely furnished. Great back deck for morning coffee or beers at sun set. We brought our boat down and the marina had great slips to rent by the day. Nice pool and great outdoor bar area to chill at night. Live entertainment topped it all off. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a great 10 day stay on Dolphin. This was our first trip to the keys and couldn’t have found a better place. Mike was very helpful setting up our after hours check in and the office staff was extremely helpful with any questions about the area that we had during the day. The boat was extremely clean upon arrival and was a great alternative to staying in a condo or resort. We will definitely be returning to Mangrove Marina on our next trip to the keys.

The Seahorse was exceptional and so were the people at the marina. The grounds are super clean, the pool is pristine, and you can’t beat the location. Mike, and his trusty companion Ace, made things easy to check in and ensured we were taken care of every step of the way during our stay. Fin and juice (tiki bar on site) is open even though google and apple say it’s closed. Would stay here a million times over if we could, great experience. I’m extremely grateful we chose a house boat rather than a hotel or resort room, unforgettable experience.

That is exactly why I booked it but this place exceeeeeded all expectations Michael and all staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Michael was very personable and made sure we felt at home. Everyone made us feel like family. The restaurant opened during our stay and made our stay that much better with the live music and good vibes. Mandy, the bartender made us feel so welcome, she is truly a genuine sweet soul and makes the best Bloody Mary I ever had

I LOVED sitting on the upper deck and watching the people, water, and night time weather move in. I had never even thought of renting a houseboat before but it turned out to be an excellent idea! The marina had music and food on the weekend and it made the stay so much fun! The houseboat was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was compact but to be expected on a houseboat. The shower was very tiny, but we had the option to use the bath house if desired. We did not use the pool but I was glad that we had the option. The location is perfect if you want to be close to snorkeling tours to the reef. The lady that was tending the bar during the live entertainment was super friendly, helpful, and inviting. I forgot her name—sorry! Stay here! The marina was great and the houseboat was awesome!

This house boat is absolutely perfect. Very clean and super spacious. Been our first time on a house boat we were pleasantly surprise of how nice it was. The views from the porch were spectacular. The marina was very clean and the staff was very polite.

When we were looking at hotel options, we kept coming across the same old descriptions. We came to VRBO to find something different, and were not disappointed. There isn’t a better way to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Keys than on a houseboat in a marina. Similar to staying in an RV park, but was even quieter. The accommodations were great, clean and quiet. A couple of good coffee houses were in walking distance and many seafood restaurants a short drive in either direction. We also ran across some really nice people who escaped the traditional hotel life as well. I highly recommend the Starfish or one of the other houseboats at the marina.

From the moment of check-in with Mike, we were impressed with the the place. Everything was better than advertised. The houseboat was clean and perfect! Had we needed anything from the special type of toilet paper, extra towels or help with the TV, all concerns and questions were taken care of promptly. We honestly had such a good time that we just lounged around the houseboat the last two days of our stay. Perfect place to chill out! The only thing I’d do differently next time would be to cover the bedroom windows to make it darker for when I slept. However, it’s a minor change and not something that would keep me from booking again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This place is awesome – SO much better than renting a hotel/motel or anything “normal”! We got a bigger houseboat for our party of 4, and the big deck up on top was our favorite feature. We were up there all the time, morning coffee and yoga, birdwatching, and especially in the evening watching sunsets and starry skies. The house boat was totally clean (no toilet issues that another reviewer mentioned!), the people were friendly and helpful, the vibe was the best! Wish we could have stayed MUCH longer!

This place was amazing! If you’re going to Florida and need a place to stay in the keys I can’t recommend this enough. The staff was friendly and polite and the boats were amazing. It felt so warm and inviting. Better than any hotel.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience at the Gray Lady, Boat House. This photos do not do it justice. We loved the open living areas. All of the bedrooms were perfect for our needs and two bathrooms were a plus. Beautiful location and house. Check-in was easy. Amazing air conditioning. We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Biscuit. The view from our balcony was amazing! There were 5 adults in our party and has enough sleeping space for all of us. As for the bathrooms, we made use of the bathhouse quite a bit which is a short walk from our houseboat. Mike the manager with his sidekick Ace (chihuahua) is very friendly and accommodating. Hope to come back soon.

This was by far the best trip ever! Staying on a houseboat at Mangrove Marina and Resort Aqualodge was amazing. When I made the reservation I was apprehensive wondering what I got my group into. When we pulled in we were excited to see the boats and the water. When we stepped in to check into our boat the experience started. The gentlemen in the front office were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Mike took us to our boat and gave us the grand tour. I mentioned to him that we were celebrating a birthday and he gave awesome recommendations for dinner watching the sunset and where to go that was not overwhelming with “crowds”. Later in the evening, they brought down a card and balloon to our special Birthday girl, what a wonderful and pleasant gesture. There are other houseboat rentals all through the keys, however, if you want an experience to remember from the time you check in to the time you check out this is where you need to go! The boat was spacious, clean and so comfortable I did not want to leave. We enjoyed the pool and the tiki bar with live music! Will be making this our spot yearly if not twice a year…customer for life! 1,000 stars.

We had an amazing time. This made my husband’s 40th extra special. I was looking for something to do, but due to COVID, our options were limited. He really enjoyed himself and so did the rest of us. It was a great low-key weekend enjoyed by all. The atmosphere was amazing and peaceful. We totally recommend this place and plan to go back.

We had a fabulous time at Mangrove Marina in the SeaHorse boathouse. The facilities were awesome, everything was clean and the hospitality was great. We enjoyed the pool, the outdoor showers, the tiki bar, and Saturday evening entertainment. It was great, even the mini hurricane that came through! Mike answered all my questions, every time I called, which was a few! We can’t wait to come back again and rent another house. This might even be an option for retirement someday. Loved living on the boat. Peaceful coffee in the morning and sunset cocktails at night. Close to everything and far from it all. Thank you Mike and all the employees at Mangrove. You made our experience worth every penny!

We had a wonderful stay at The Gray Lady. House Boat was super clean and spacious. The views from the dock were incredible. We’ll definitely be back!

Fun to stay on a houseboat to mix things up. Mike and Ed were both great.

This whole trip to the Florida Keys was kind of an adventure for our family. We did things that we wouldn’t normally do. One of them is renting this houseboat. Everyone was great from check-in to check-out. We had an issue on the last morning of the breaker flipping. The manager was right there to help correct it. Our girls loved the pool. It was warm and that is how they like it. We would definitely stay there again! Great experience.

We stayed in Conch Shell at Mangrove Marina and everything was amazing! The houseboat was awesome, loved the pool, bathhouses, and general marina atmosphere. We also came a day early from our reservation (our error) and during the busiest time of year, Mike worked the magic to get us a different houseboat for the first night. Thank you for that!! More detailed instructions in the houseboat would have been nice re daily garbage routine, fresh towels, etc. We figured it out eventually!

Marina, staff, pool, and location were all awesome. We loved the rooftop on the calypso.

We’ve been visiting the upper keys for the past 10 years and always stayed a hotel or condo with our boat from Miami. This was the first time we stayed in a houseboat and it was the best experience ever! Not only do you have 24/7 views of the water, but you’re also literally sleeping on the water. The houseboat was super clean and had all the basic essentials you would need. My son loved the attic and it’s especially nice for a nap when the seas are choppy. The kitchen is big enough for basic meals and the full fridge is helpful. We ordered an Instacart delivery from Publix the first night and it was perfect. Stocked up the fridge and did not want to leave. The pool is great too, we had a ton of fun playing there “on land”. The new outdoor tiki bar and entertainment space look gorgeous, it was not yet open when we were there, but looking forward to enjoying it when we return soon.

We had a blast for our vacations, with our 2 daughters and 2 little dogs. It is so peaceful and beautiful. It is our 2nd time coming over, for sure we’ll be back.

We really loved the location and the houseboat. We were able to bring our boat and dock it in a slip right next to the houseboat which was really convenient. Mike was very accommodating and helpful both during and after hours when he went above and beyond to help us when we dropped a key in the water and had to fish it out. We will be back!

Quick and friendly check-in with a tour of the boat. Very laid back and peaceful. Enjoyed coffee on the rear deck in the morning and cocktails in the evening watching the sunset.

Great stay. Never stayed in a marina or houseboat but both were cool. Can not beat the price for the keys in February! The houseboat was roomy and we loved watching the sunset off our back deck. If you are looking for a unique experience, the conch shell is it. The marina is opening a new restaurant in March 2021. Our poc Mike was a wonderful guide to all things Key Largo.

I cannot say enough about this property! We booked a 3 night stay on the Gray Lady as an alternative option to a hotel because of Covid. Mike at check in could not have been more welcoming! Extra towels as requested when we arrived. The boat…gorgeous! Clean, freezing cold A/C which was awesome! State rooms have enough room for multiple couples to stay on board and two bathrooms! Two fridges for shopping if you elect to eat in. Balcony on the back of the boat is the most gorgeous sunset! Water pressure was great, boat swayed nicely at night when the water was a little bit rough (only one night but if seasickness is your thing grab some Dramamine and don’t miss this opportunity!) The view…million dollar worthy! Go see Bluefin and Jason at the Tiki Bar after dinner for some cold beers and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is practicing social distancing and masks required. It’s all the comforts of home, a hotel and a boat. 2 hour short drive to Key West and within minutes of amazing water front dining. We will be booking here again and value the kindness we received for our short stay!

From the minute we stepped on the dock our adventure began. Our stay here was so unique and amazing. The space was small enough to be quaint, but large enough to feel spacious. Loved the outdoor area on the boat. Everything was clean and stocked for us. The pool was climate controlled which was a huge bonus. Saw marine life from our boat! Incredible memories. Nothing says Florida Keys like a houseboat vacation. Mangrove Marina has everything from cute one bedroom to magnificent four bedroom fully equipped floating homes for rent. Great little tiki bar and a yummy food truck with weekend live music in an outdoor venue perfect for social distancing. Mike, Ace and his friendly and helpful staff keep everything immaculately clean and sanitized, the entire staff wear wear face coverings at all times. Perfect location- close to all the sights of the upper and middle Keys. We have placed a deposit for spring 2021 today! We highly recommend Mangrove Marina!

Mangrove Marina is amazing!! My initial AirBnb with a different host was cancelled two days before our trip, and I didn’t know what to do. The host reached out to Mangrove Marina and explained everything, and they went above and beyond to help me out. I dealt directly with Vanessa at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly, helpful and calming. She assured me that I was indeed, going to have a great vacation, and made sure it all happened for us. All of this even before we got there, and when we arrived, she made good on her word. We had a fantastic vacation! The Marina is so welcoming, with an overall great vibe. The pool is amazing, and all the facilities (bathrooms, shower rooms, etc.) were very well maintained and clean. Fin and Juice, their bar and place for small bites, is a great place to end the day, overlooking the marina. Everybody there, staff, residents, fellow vacation-ers, were lovely. We loved the boat we stayed on, with unbeatable views and an incredible breeze. Such a wonderful vacation, and we really do have Vanessa and Mangrove Marina to thank for it!!

The house boat and the area were spectacular. We loved visiting this part of the keys. Had all of the excitement and scenery of the keys without the hustle and overcrowding of key west!! The houseboat was very clean and had everything we needed. Would love to do this again. So much better than staying in a hotel!

This place rocks! Loved being able to be right on the water off the dock! We were able to fish off the roof and caught so many fish! There was even a manatee that seemed to live underneath us the whole weekend. Everything was super clean and the location is great, only about 10 mins north of Islamorada with lots of great restaurants and things to see and do. The little bar on site and pool is awesome too! Thanks for everything!

Perfect for our family of 3. Slip for our boat – so we just got up and on water in minutes. People were friendly and always had a smile. Will be coming back for sure!

Very neat experience on this older houseboat. It was clean and well-maintained with a comfortable bed and linens. We enjoyed the vibe of the marina and watching the sunset from the back of the boat. We even ordered pizza delivery for dinner just to enjoy the boat more. TV and internet also worked well. If looking for a new or different experience I highly recommend trying out this for lodging.
